WHY THAILAND?

Thailand offers the perfect blend of luxury, comfort, and cultural richness, making it an ideal destination for a second home or frequent getaway. Bangkok, the vibrant capital, combines modern living with traditional charm, offering luxury hotels, world-class dining, high-end shopping, and iconic cultural landmarks like the Grand Palace and Wat Pho. The city’s dynamic nightlife, rich heritage, and diverse entertainment options make it a top destination for those seeking both adventure and indulgence.

Beyond Bangkok, Thailand boasts several other major tourist destinations, each offering unique experiences. Pattaya, known for its lively beach scene and vibrant nightlife, is a great option for those looking for both relaxation and entertainment. Phuket offers stunning beaches, luxury resorts, and water activities, while Koh Samui is a serene retreat with wellness resorts and private villas. Chiang Mai, nestled in the mountains, provides tranquility, ancient temples, and outdoor adventures. With modern infrastructure, excellent healthcare, and a welcoming local culture, Thailand offers a convenient and comfortable environment for long stays or frequent visits. Whether you’re savoring world-class dining, exploring cultural heritage, or relaxing on pristine beaches, Thailand offers endless opportunities for luxury, leisure, and adventure.

Frequently Asked Questions

Discover the convenience and “privileges” of the Thailand Privilege Card, a long-term visa designed for effortless living and enhanced travel experiences in Thailand. Enjoy premium services, exclusive benefits, and a seamless journey from arrival to every stay. Explore the FAQs below to learn more.

The Thailand Privilege Card (formerly Elite Visa) is a long-term privilege entry visa program launched in 2003 by the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) to attract affluent foreign nationals and promote long-term tourism and investment. Members of the program enjoy exclusive benefits, including up to 20 years of visa validity, VIP greetings & fast-track immigration at airports, and access to a range of lifestyle privileges across 5 categories: stay, travel, leisure, health & well-being, and wealth. The Thailand Privilege Card is ideal for those seeking a hassle-free stay with added privileges and a premium lifestyle in Thailand.

The Thailand Privilege Card members enjoy a comprehensive range of benefits, all designed to ensure their stay in Thailand is as seamless and comfortable as possible. These exclusive perks include VIP greetings facilitated by an Elite Personal Assistant (EPA), fast-track immigration services, and access to luxury hotels, golf courses, fine dining, and special events, along with personalized support from an Elite Personal Liaison (EPL) during their stay in the country. With up to 20 years of visa validity, members can enjoy a hassle-free and premium lifestyle while living or traveling in Thailand.

There is no application fee to apply for the Thailand Privilege Card.

It typically takes less than 2 months.

  • If you are in Thailand, you can have your visa affixed at the Immigration Office on Chaengwattana Road.
  • If you are outside of Thailand, you can have your visa affixed at the nearest Royal Thai Embassy/Consulate, or you can obtain your visa stamp upon arrival on an international flight at Suvarnabhumi Airport or Phuket Airport.

No, the Thailand Privilege Card is categorized as a ‘Tourist Visa’.

Yes, for the Platinum package and above, members can apply for supplementary membership for family members, with fees ranging from THB 1,000,000 to THB 2,000,000 per person.

The Thailand Privilege Card offers a much more luxurious and convenient option compared to the Destination Thailand Visa (DTV). While the DTV requires regular renewals and doesn’t provide any extra benefits beyond the basic visa, the Thailand Privilege Card grants up to 20 years of visa validity, eliminating the hassle of constant renewals. The Privilege Card is designed for those seeking a seamless, premium lifestyle, offering VIP airport services, fast-track immigration, access to top-tier hotels, golf courses, fine dining, and personalized support.

In contrast, the DTV is far more basic, providing no added perks or luxury services, and only offers a straightforward visa without the exclusive privileges that the Thailand Privilege Card provides. If you’re looking for an elevated experience in Thailand, the Thailand Privilege Card not only offers long-term stay options but also delivers an unmatched level of comfort and convenience, while the DTV falls short in offering the same level of ease and luxury. Simply put, the Thailand Privilege Card is the superior choice for anyone seeking a premium lifestyle in Thailand without the ongoing hassle of visa renewals or limitations.

The Thailand Privilege Card program offers several significant advantages over the Retirement Visa. While the Retirement Visa typically requires a minimum age of 50, the Thailand Privilege Card is available to a broader range of individuals, including those under 50, and provides greater flexibility with up to 20 years of visa validity—eliminating the need for frequent renewals. Additionally, the Thailand Privilege Card offers a much more luxurious experience, including VIP services like fast-track immigration, access to high-end hotels, golf courses, wellness programs, and personalized concierge support.

While the Retirement Visa provides basic residency in Thailand, the Thailand Privilege Card is designed to enhance member’s entire experience, offering unmatched convenience, luxury, and peace of mind.

The Thailand Privilege Card is available to foreign nationals of all nationalities. Applicants are required to hold a valid passport and pass the standard background check. There are no minimum requirements regarding age, work experience, employment, or investment in Thailand.

The Thailand Privilege Card replaces the Thailand Elite Visa program with a more streamlined application process, updated membership packages, and enhanced benefits for long-term residents. While core privileges such as fast-track immigration and VIP services remain, the new program offers improved flexibility and digital support.

The Thailand Privilege Card offers long-term visas with validity ranging from 5 to 20 years. TPC members are permitted to stay in Thailand for up to one year per entry, with the option to extend the stay in-country for an additional year each time.

The most affordable Thailand Privilege Card package is the Bronze Card, priced at THB 650,000 per member. However, this package is available as a limited-time offer until 31 March 2026. After that, the entry-level TPC package will be the Gold Card, which offers similar benefits to the Bronze Card (including a 5-year Thai visa and TPC signature services), but also provides 20 privilege points per year. The Gold Card is priced at THB 900,000 per member.
